A short observation by Shaka Sisulu

This morning I woke to a show called Aqua Fanatics. They showcased a wake boarding competition. Wake boarding is skate boarding on water. The winning kids walked off with decent prize money. It is a sustainable sport. A career even.

You see these kids play around on water and make a living out of skill discovered with expensive toys. They make a fad. Sponsors come. They'll live off their fun. Nice neh

Liberation is freedom to be, to dream, to become, to act, to inspire.

How many South Africans have audicity to chase their dreams let alone to create dreams for others? These Wake Boarders have created a new economy, theyve have created new dreams for kids like Bill Gates did...from toys.

The majority of South Africans through force of history will never ever create new economies even if they wanted to. They'll command nix. They won't be free to live where they want, have jobs that fulfill them, they won't even have courage to believe in their own dreams.

When such a society exists here then we will have attained a measure of liberation.

Until then... Hmmm
